You’ll notice a new look to maps on the foursquare website today — they’ve ditched Google Maps in favor of the newly launched MapBox Streets. The data behind the new maps comes from the Creative Commons-licensed Open Street Map project.
The new maps appear on venue pages, the Explore section, lists, the home page map and more. Foursquare’s( is a location-based social networking website for mobile devices) icons are layered on top, just as they were before.
