GIS lecturer

Geographic Information Science and Planning, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The Department of Geography and Earth Sciences is recruiting a lecturer for a one year appointment beginning August 15, 2012. This is a one year temporary position with the possibility of renewal for up to one more year. Required qualifications include: 1) a doctoral degree in geography, planning or relevant discipline at the time of appointment; 2) technical and analytical expertise in GIS and its applications in land use and environmental planning; 3) the ability to teach classes and provide technical support and guidance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels on introductory and advanced GIS topics, spatial modeling, socio-economical applications of GIS, spatial decision/planning support systems, and GIS in land use and environmental planning.
